All-Star Weekend 2017
Amidst all the hype of NBA All-Star Weekend, fans at home can feel left out. So Swift Agency and Adidas teamed up to give their followers an inclusive All-Star experience with a creative twist. Over three days, we turned an empty warehouse in downtown New Orleans into a living, breathing art gallery: The Adidas Hoops Collective.
Tim McAuliffe created five portraits of each of the Adidas athletes who participated in All-Star Weekend. Then on site in New Orleans, Tim made live drawings in response to the All-Star action each day in the space created by Swift. As the weekend progressed, murals were built, portraits were made, comics were drawn, shirts were designed, and objects like sneakers and basketballs were painted on.
By day three, we had a colorful explosion of style inside this New Orleans warehouse, where we were visited by James Harden, Kristaps Porzingis, Candace Parker, Kyle Lowry, Nick Young, and A$AP Ferg.
